Getting Started

Welcome to Waiterock!

Step 1: Is this a good fit?

Please note that we do have a few new client restrictions:
  • We do not accept new animals who are under 6 months old or over 8 years old.
  • All pets over 7 months old must be spayed or neutered to come to our facility.
  • We have a number of breed restrictions for dogs. Please contact us for specifics if you are unsure if your dog's breed will be accepted.

Returning Client?

If you have been to Waiterock before, but haven't used Gingr yet, don't worry! You already have an account. Please claim your account and use the Gingr client portal to submit all future reservation requests.
To claim your account, simply reset the password on you account using the email you already have on file with us. If you are unable to find your account, please contact us for assistance.

Step 2: Online Registration & Vaccines

To get started with us, you will need to sign-up through our client portal, Gingr. Please enter all your information and be sure to answer each question and sign our service agreement. You can also upload all vaccination records onto your profile (for dogs we require Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Influenza; for cats we require Rabies and FVRCP). Please ensure your pet has all required vaccination records uploaded before requesting an assessment.
If you'd like to use the Gingr for Pet Parents mobile app, our invite code is 274572.

Step 3: Schedule an Assessment

Once your profile is all set up and your vaccines have been input, please request an assessment reservation through the client portal. All pets must have an assessment before we will accept them for daycare or boarding. An assessment is a 2-3 hour reservation where your pet will spend some time out in our playgroups (for dogs) and some time in our kennel. This is to ensure that they will be comfortable in our facility and get along well with everyone.
There is a $25 nonrefundable deposit for assessments, which can be paid through Gingr after your assessment request has been submitted. You are welcome to take a quick tour of our facility at pick-up time if you would like!

Step 4: Trial Daycare & Boarding

If you are looking to board for longer than 3 days, OR you are looking to board for any length during a busy holiday, we do require your pet to complete a few trial reservations first. This is to acclimate them to our facility and ensure they will be comfortable overnighting with us. This will typically consist of 3 days of daycare and a 2-night trial boarding stay.* Once they have completed their trial bookings and all goes well, your pet is welcome to come back for any additional daycare or boarding you may need!
Please be aware that if everything goes well and you complete the new client process, the dogs that come most often for daycare get priority for boarding. This makes our playgroups safer, as the dogs are familiar with each other.
*Cats are not required to come for daycare.
